Day 4 London travelling to Nepal 7th April

Day 4 of our journey to hike the EBC was pretty uneventful. It’s our last full day in London before we fly on to Nepal tomorrow. Today was all about finding the last few items on our list before we go. We started with a pub breakfast at the Blackbird. Best breakfast so far and it’s our local so bonus. Then mum had a go at navigating us to Oxford Street to find some outdoor shops. Managed to find most of our items. Top of the list were sunglasses or something of the similar ilk for mum. She doesn’t have prescription sunglasses and she hates them anyway so we had to get creative to find something to go over her glasses. We settled on some snow goggles from Decathalon. We found the last pair they had. We roamed all around the Oxford Street, Regent Street and the Strand and eventually found all the last items. There are some things we will have to pick up in Kathmandu but mostly our bases are covered. We then set out looking for a launderette found this place with the scary doll outside so we had to try it. Then celebrated with a picnic in our room of chocolate eclairs. There’s no tables or chairs in our room so floor picnics have become common. Luckily I have a sleeping bag to sit on. Overall a long day of shopping racking up 15.6km of walking. That’s training complete. The next time we walk we will be starting the EBC. We packed up ready for the next step tomorrow! #everestbasecamptrek #travel #falklandislands #falklandislanders #london
