The Traveling Islander

Day 3 of our trip to hike to EBC. We managed to rise slightly earlier but still quite jet lagged. Today we did some sightseeing as part of our hike. Our first stop was Portobello Road to see the market. It was amazing thought we were completely overwhelmed by the amount of items in the antiques market. We ended up leaving empty handed due to being unable to decide. We then popped into another proper pub for a Sunday roast. Not the most amazing but the atmosphere was lovely. Next we hiked over to Kensington Palace. We were too late to tour the building but we wandered the gardens then had a wonderful piece of Victoria sponge and a perfect cup of tea on the grounds. Forgot to photograph said cake as inhaled it too quickly. Little bit more shopping then heading back to our hotel. In the evening hiked across the city to get my hair cut to a more expedition friendly style. Sections of the EBC often have no access to showers or hot water for washing so short hair for the first time in a long time. Great evening walk past lots of amazing buildings such as the natural history museum and Victoria and Albert Museum. Overall clocked up 14 km. Tomorrow is our last full day in London! #london #walklondon #walking #tourist #expeditionprep
