Day 2 of our journey to hike the EBC. Having a room with no window has its advantages as we slept most of the day away after our travels. Once up and about though it was time to start burning a trail around London. First stop was a pub to find mum some proper fish and chips. Then after a quick introduction to the tube we travelled across the city hitting up various outdoor shops trying to find the last of our gear for the hike. We were quite successful and managed to secure most of the gear. We have a really strict 15 kilo limit for the flight to the hike and it’s currently -14 C there which has been a tricky thing to navigate. So far so good. We managed to hike over 10km around the city which included a hill! I was in charge of getting us a Falklands flag and had a slight mishap due to not reading the details of the flag. It’s turned out to be over 8 feet long which is a bit over the top but I’m sure we could fashion a tent or a hammock out of it if required so it’ll earn its keep. We finished the day with a standing McDonalds supper before taking the tube back home. Jet lag is getting to us a bit so we’ll see what tomorrow brings. See ya! #ebc #travelling #london #falklandislanders #visitlondon
